Soil Scientist
Hey and Associates, Inc. is seeking a Soil
Scientist in our Volo, Illinois office. Duties include conducting and managing
wetland delineations and environmental assessment projects, preparing wetland
permit submittals and providing regulatory assistance, and providing
coordination of projects with clients and regulatory agencies. A BS or MS
degree in soil science or an environmental field with a concentration in soils
is required. Applicant should also possess working knowledge of wetland and
upland plants. 1-3 years experience in wetland assessment and delineation, as
well as regulatory permitting is preferred. Applicant should be on a career
path to become a Certified Professional Soil Scientist (CPSSc).

Water Resources Engineer
Hey and Associates, Inc. is looking for entry-level and experienced water
resources Engineers to perform hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality
analyses in our Volo and Geneva Illinois offices. Familiarity with HEC-HMS,
HEC-RAS, TR20, FEQ, HSPF and SWMM computer models is desirable. Knowledge of
G.I.S. Based modeling systems, project management and Civil Engineering design
experience is also desirable. Candidates must have a B.S. degree in Civil or
Environmental Engineering. P.E. desirable for experienced position.
Soil Erosion and Sediment Control (SESC) Specialist
Hey and Associates, Inc. is
seeking a SESC Specialist in our Volo or Geneva, Illinois offices. We consult
with clients to find water resource, wetland, and ecological solutions. Duties
include field and office tasks. Fieldwork includes reliable observation and
assessment of construction site stormwater BMPs in all types of weather;
office work includes the preparation of SESC BMP designs and organization of
SWPPPs. We require an ability to orient on maps, understand grading plans, a
valid driver’s license, and a thorough awareness of NPDES stormwater
regulations. An earth science education and on-site experience is required. A
CPESC is desirable. A career with Hey and Associates in water quality
